I'm running the Hawke’s Bay Marathon on 17 May to raise funds for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer NZ – and I need your help!
I’m starting this a little later than I’d hoped, but better late than never!
12 months ago, my dad Tim was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, and the odds weren’t in his favour. Thanks to incredible advances in research and modern medicine, he’s now on the road to recovery and we’re incredibly grateful.
That’s why I’m lacing up my runners – alongside my mates Casey Marsh & Jack Smith – to do something challenging and help fund more life-saving research for others who aren’t so lucky.

Every day 8 people - children and adults - in New Zealand are diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasms or a serious blood condition. That is one person every three hours!With a vision to cure and a mission to care, we are committed to improving the quality of life for patients and their families living a blood cancer. Funding goes to our core services: Patient support, research, information, awareness, and advocacy.
